Whether a person has worked all their life or not, retirement is seen by many as the end of the road! Not so I say.
Retirement should not only be acknowledged as a milestone in one’s life but should also be celebrated in such a way that the retiree will never forget that very special day.
Is the old traditional plaque or gold watch good enough when working through your friends retirement wishes?….Maybe it is, I have a plaque on my desk reminding me of the 27 years I worked in the same company, but does it bring me any lasting enjoyment?
Well looking at the order of events, the first memorable moment after we have retired may be the office party. we ate cake, had drinks, and chatted with old friends, but is that it, or does the retiree deserve better memories than that?

The point to remember here is….don’t just buy a meaningless gift and pack them off , never to be thought of again!
